The Modern Quilting Bee

Times have changed! It used to be quilting bees that got women together to complete quilts. Now we use other titles for the same sort of thing. I belong to a group of 12 that get together twice a month to sew and share our lives. We used to have two rules: 1. No food. 2. No rules. One of our members used to be a Home Ec teacher so we assassinated the first rule. Other types of quilting bees are the quilt guild events and workshops, Quilting seminars, cruises, retreats, and online quilt-alongs. Quilting has changed but not our need to share our lives and our design challenges with one another.
